Prestigious leaders from the European Commission and the OECD are participating in Romania at an important conference dedicated to the social economy. The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Mr. Nicholas Schmit will deliver a message to the participants.
More than 150 European leaders in the social economy, representatives of the European Commission, OECD, social entrepreneurs, businessmen and authorities are expected at the third edition of the “Enterprising for Tomorrow” European Conference.
The event is organized by the ADV Romania Group, one of ESIC partners, and aims to shed light on the most important topics related to the social economy. Organized in the form of 5 plenary sessions, with 7 hours of live broadcasts, plus several other related events, the conference aims to combine information and inspiration, with the desire to highlight social economy organizations that make significant contributions to solving social problems and environmental.
The conference will take place in a hybrid format: physical (Iași, Romania) and live online on Zoom and Facebook, with simultaneous Romanian-English/English-Romanian translation. Participation is free, by registering on the conference page.

Representatives of the European Commission, the OECD and other important national and international leaders are expected to attend the third edition of the conference. The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Mr. Nicolas Schmit, will deliver a video message to the participants of the event.
Themes that reflect the development of the sector at national and European level will be debated, starting from the grassroots – social entrepreneurs, up to the level of those who develop public policies in this field.
On the agenda of the event will be topics such as: the European action plan for the social economy (the role of European and national networks), how we create a favorable development framework for the social economy, what are the trends at the European level regarding the development of human resources and digitalization in the field of social economy, but also solutions for a sustainable future of social enterprises (circular economy, socially responsible purchases, social financing, etc.). “Social Enterprise Accelerator” Gala. Conceived in the form of a competition, the Gala aims to award social enterprises, classic companies or providers of support services in the field of the social economy, within 6 categories.
Buy Social – exhibition with sale of products of social entrepreneurs
Matchmaking event – social entrepreneurs will interact with private companies interested in making responsible purchases and thus supporting the social economy sector.
Launch of OPYA Fashion – collection of clothes made by Grupul ADV Romania from recycled materials such as OPYA specialty coffee bags, collection designed by fashion designer Irina Schrotter.
