European Social Innovation Campus Consortium Meets in Iași, Romania

The partners of the European Social Innovation Campus recently gathered in Iași, Romania, for a productive consortium meeting hosted by. The meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to reconnect in person, reflect on progress made so far, and coordinate the next steps of the project.

As part of the programme, the consortium was welcomed for a study visit at ADV Group, where partners gained further insight into the organisation’s work and its contribution to social innovation and inclusive development in Romania. The visit created valuable opportunities for exchange and discussion around local practices, collaboration models, and community impact.

During the partner meeting, discussions focused on both ongoing and upcoming pilot activities across the project. Partners also looked ahead to several key milestones that will shape the next phase of the European Social Innovation Campus. Among these are the upcoming survey planned for September, which will supplement the Skills Monitor with updated data from 2026, the development of the project’s final curriculum, and the preparation of policy briefs at both European and national levels.

Beyond the working sessions, the consortium also had the chance to experience the atmosphere and cultural richness of Iași. Staying in the city centre allowed partners to explore the city on foot, discovering its impressive architecture, historic landmarks, and vibrant cultural buildings.

The first evening concluded with a dinner at a traditional Romanian restaurant located in a beautifully preserved cognac-style house, offering participants a warm introduction to Romanian hospitality, cuisine, and local heritage.

The meeting in Iași once again highlighted the strength of collaboration within the consortium and reinforced the shared commitment to advancing social innovation skills, policy, and practice across Europe.
