As part of the Social Economy Month, on May 28, the Bucovina Institute Association organised an event dedicated to green social entrepreneurship bringing together entrepreneurs, partners, and other stakeholders from the local social economy ecosystem. The initiative created space for dialogue, collaboration, and exchange of experiences among those committed to developing more sustainable and inclusive communities.
The discussions focused on how sustainable business models can generate real impact for both people and the environment through responsible consumption, better use of local resources, and innovative approaches within the social economy sector. Participants also reflect on the importance of supporting entrepreneurs who aim to combine economic activity with social and environmental responsibility.
The event highlighted activities within the Green Leaders initiative, an Erasmus+ project that supports the development of green social entrepreneurship by equipping learners and entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and practical tools needed to build sustainable and socially responsible businesses in today’s evolving economy.
These objectives are closely aligned with the mission of the European Social Innovation Campus (ESIC). ESIC aims to upskill and reskill students and professionals of the social economy by boosting their social innovation capacities. The project thereby tackles the green and digital transition, similar to the Green Leaders initiative.
We would like to thank all participants for their engagement, energy, and valuable contributions. Events like this reinforce the importance of cooperation and shared learning in shaping a greener, more inclusive, and innovation-driven social economy.
