Driving innovation: PAT’s ongoing dedication to the ESIC webinar cycle for local schools

TRENTO – The Autonomous province of Trento (PAT) continues to strengthen its connection with the local educational landscape through the ESIC project. Between March and April, a new series of three informative webinars, dedicated to upper secondary schools and vocational institutions teachers, was successfully completed.

During the meetings, the ESIC project team from PAT presented the training path on social economy and social innovation themes, for both teachers and students.

These webinars were not just informative sessions but true space for dialogue, where school leaders and teachers shared perspectives on aligning ESIC project goals with the three-year school educational offer plan and the educational needs of students.

Key figures and participation

The sessions saw the active participation of 36 professionals, including teachers and school leaders from various educational and vocational institutions across the territory, for a total of 15 schools from the province of Trento and 11 schools from other regions.
Their involvement underlines the high level of interest in the project’s topics and its practical application within the local school system.

Strategic synergies: Civic Education and Work-Related Learning

The core of the discussions focused on the valuable synergies between ESIC’s planned activities and the mandatory school curricula. Participants provided precious insights on how the ESIC project integrates with:

  • Educazione Civica e alla Cittadinanza – Civic and Citizenship Education: enhancing students’ understanding of social responsibility and community engagement.
  • Alternanza Scuola-Lavoro – Work-Related Learning: creating bridge-building opportunities between classroom theory and real-world project dynamics in the sector of social economy.
Next steps

The feedback collected during the three informative webinars will be instrumental in shaping the next phases of the ESIC project, ensuring that the collaboration remains impactful, sustainable, and perfectly integrated with the regional educational framework.

ESIC is entering schools with a clear timeline: teachers training will take place between September and December 2026, followed by co-design workshops to collaboratively define the most suitable learning paths for students.

Students will follow an introductory module (Autumn 2026) and an in-depth program (Spring 2027), the latter of which was specifically developed through the co-design workshops.

The future of social innovation starts here. Stay in the loop!
